Everyday Creativity: Identifying Barriers and Enhancements Through Music and Play

This presentation includes: 1) descriptions of relevant concepts of both, the barriers and blocks in accessing our creativity, as well as enhancements for everyday creativity, followed by 2) receptive and expressive experiential activities that can enhance access to everyday creativity including music, imagery, collage, and play. The purpose is to learn how the creating of a positive, joy – filled environment can generate greater access to everyday creativity. This form of creativity, equally distributed across the population, can result in greater adaptation and can improve creative thinking for those whom we serve as educators, artists, clinicians, care – givers and parents.

Taiwan Music Therapy Conference

Understanding and Enhancing Everyday and Personal Creativity

This 2 day, 12 – hour translated course on everyday and personal creativity enhancements will cover 6 hours per day in morning and afternoon sessions. The course will include presentations/discussions and interactive workshop experiences using the concepts from the lecture presentations. One of the major goals of the training/workshop is to broaden participants’ awareness and ability to access their own everyday creativity.
